June Newsletter

Dear Sisters & Brothers of Bellevue Chapter #359

June is almost upon us and it will be time to break for the Summer.  Our next meeting will be June 3rd at 7 PM.  There were only 10 at our last meeting, guess everything happened on the same night.

June serving committee will be Arlene Simons, Norma Meyer, Thelma Mangler and Ann Sawvell, a change from the booklet.  The program is for heart and cancer given by Arlene Simons.  The Education committee will give a report on our Scholarships given out this year.  Looking ahead....we will honor 25 and 50 year members on September 2nd,  not November 4th.  Keep this in mind all you 25 and 50 year members, but you will receive a special invitation as the time draws nearer.  October 7th will be our Friendhsip night and October 12th our Official Visitation.  In July serving the masons will be Bethel Tarr and Joanne Daniels and in August we have our OES eat-out, place to be determined by the Worthy Matron.  This is always a good time and good food, so even if you seldom attend Chapter meetings please join us for this social time together.  August committee for serving the Masons will be Don & Jan Carrier and Don & Mary Felderman.

Joyce Middleton's address in Cedar Rapids needs a slight adjustment, please add 2b for the apartment number.

Still a few who have not paid their dues, 5 to be exact.  Only a few weeks until Summer break.

Answer to the last Trivia - Bellevue has 63 members and of these 13 are 50 year members and 14 live over 100 miles away from Bellevue.  Around 20 are actually active in the Chapter.  Next question - Who wrote the beautiful song "O Galilee"?

Remember our meetings start at 7 PM.

The newsletter will break for the Summer also, so the next one should arrive in early September.  Hope you enjoy these, give me your comments on what could be done to improve them.  Besides doing a better job of proof-reading of course!!

Hopefully everyone will have a great Summer, stay healthy and happy and we will get back to normal procedure next fall.  Keep us posted on what is happening in YOUR family and we will pass it along via this newsletter.
