Lodge News:
Greetings and Farewell from the East
As I sit down to write the last Trestle Board of the year, I can only reflect back on what a great year it has been to be able to serve as Master of Home Lodge # 370. It hardly seems possible that the year is about over and the reins will be turned over to Brother Jerry Gymer in just a little over a month, but all Good things come to an end, as it does being Master.

What a good year it has been for Home Lodge as we were able once again practice what we are taught, which is Friendship, Morality, and Brothery Love. We wre able to raise 11 new Brothers this year,While these are not big numbers we were able to teach these new Brethren the true Masonic way of life with all the help from our priceless MI’s and DL’s here at Home Lodge.

The other things that we are taught in all three Degrees are to Help, Aid, and Assist, which we were able to do as a Lodge. We helped two High School seniors with Scholarships, aided the community by hosting Three very successful Blood drives, and assisting a family in need by hosting a benefit breakfast with the help from our other fine organizations in the community, who are the Elks # 98, The Does Drove # 25, The Lions Club, The Boy Scouts of Troop # 98, The Fire Dept. and Library and the Chamber of Commerce. Brethren be proud of your Lodge, this is what we are about.

But, the high point of this year was being able to esscort our beloved Tyler, Brother Herbert Ramsey to the East at Grand Lodge to receive his T.S. Parvin award. Brother Herb, you are the true image of this high award and we at Home Lodge are very proud of you and shall always value your True Masonic teachings that are always so freely given to each and everyone of us.

So, as I come to the end of my year as Master of Home Lodge, I want to Thank you as members, for allowing me to serve the Finest Lodge in the State. It has truly been a learning experience that will not soon be forgotten.Thank you for your support in all our doings and transactions. These values are priceless. With this I will close and let the Master Elect give you his views and ideas for 2010.

Fraternally, Mel Moore Worshipful Master 2009
